Vera Chiquet heads up the Swiss Agricultural Museum Burgrain
Alberswil - Vera Chiquet assumed management responsibility for the Swiss Agricultural Museum Burgrain on January 1, 2025. At the same time, the museum’s foundation board has been newly appointed in an effort to assist with the implementation of innovative projects.
Vera Chiquet, who holds a PhD in History of Art, has been managing the Swiss Agricultural Museum Burgrain, located in Alberswil in the canton of Lucerne, since January 1, 2025. The new managing director brings extensive experience from her work on art projects and at museums. As a passionate hunter, Chiquet is close to nature and her outlook is shaped by a profound understanding of the natural world and sustainability, as the museum writes in a press release.
Under her leadership, the museum will seek to bring to light the history of Swiss agriculture as well as focusing on current and future-oriented topics such as sustainability, biodiversity and nutrition. The new managing director will be supported by a completely new foundation board with the task of promoting the implementation of innovative projects.
