Thermoplan inaugurates new building

Weggis - Thermoplan has inaugurated its new building at the company headquarters in Weggis. The globally active manufacturer of fully automatic coffee machines celebrated the opening with almost 5,000 visitors. More than 500 employees work at the Thermoplan headquarters in Weggis.

Thermoplan inaugurated its new building at the company headquarters in Weggis in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, on June 22 following a construction period last nearly 960 days, as the globally active Lucerne-based manufacturer of fully automatic coffee machines writes in a press release. Thermoplan CEO Adrian Steiner cut the red ribbon together with the founding couple Esther and Domenic Steiner in front of the spacious entrance area of the modern production and office building. Around 5,000 visitors came to join the festivities at the party mile along Weiherstrasse during the entire Open Day.

Thermoplan develops and manufactures fully automatic coffee machines for professional use in the catering trade and other businesses. Among others, Thermoplan supplies the global chain Starbucks with its products. The globally active company is committed to Switzerland as a production location, with its fully automatic coffee machines all manufactured at the headquarters in Weggis, as Thermoplan writes in the “About Us” section of the website. Around 80 percent of the components used in the machines are also made in Switzerland, the company states.
