Swisens demonstrates pollen monitoring in real time

Emmen - Swisens has held an Open Day in Emmen. At the event, the spin-off from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts presented its system for real-time pollen monitoring.

Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Emmen municipal council and a whole host of business partners accepted an invitation to attend an Open Day held by Swisens on September 20. During the event, the spin-off from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts presented its system for real-time pollen monitoring, as Swisens writes in a corresponding press release. The company, which has operated its site in Emmen in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, for a year now, specializes in the development of systems for the detection and identification of airborne particles.

Last year, Swisens put a national real-time pollen network from METEOSwiss, which is the Swiss Federal Office for Meteorology and Climatology, into operation. In addition, Swisens develops and produces systems for the detection of airborne fungal spores that can cause plant diseases on farms. The high-tech measuring stations, especially SwisensPoleno, are produced in Emmen. Founded in 2016 by Erny Niederberger, Reto Abt and Philipp Burch, the technology start-up is now internationally active with customers on several continents.
