Renovation of Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern progressing

Lucerne – The Hotel Palace Luzern is expecting to reopen in spring 2022 as the Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern. It is currently undergoing extensive renovation. Baulink AG has taken on various elements of this renovation, while Jestico & Whiles is responsible for the interior design.

The Hotel Palace Luzern is currently undergoing extensive renovation. It will be reopening in spring of next year as the Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern.

According to a press release, the modernization is making good progress. Now, Invita Hospitality Projects, which is part of Baulink AG, has been tasked with the furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) and small operating equipment (SOE) of the hotel renovation.

Specifically, Invita will be responsible for procuring the FF&E for the 146 rooms and suites as well as remodeling the hotel’s public areas. Baulink’s subsidiary has even been awarded the entire contract for the technical coordination of spa and gym areas. It is also handling the redesign of all public areas, which includes the restaurants and bars as well as the conference and meeting facilities.

In the meantime, the interior design is being handled by the offices of Jestico & Whiles from London. Architecturally, the project is being supported by Iwan Bühler Architekten from Lucerne.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city of Lucerne, on the shores of the eponymous Lake Lucerne.
