Renggli subsidiary timpla opens timber module plant in Germany
Schötz/Eberswalde - The Renggli subsidiary timpla has opened a timber module plant in Eberswalde. According to Renggli, which is based in Schötz in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, it is the largest timber module plant in Germany. It has already received two orders for a total of six buildings in timber element construction.
The Renggli subsidiary timpla GmbH put its new timber module plant in Eberswalde in Germany into operation on 19 September, according to a statement from Renggli AG. Alongside the Schötz-based specialist for energy-efficient wood construction Saxovent, the professional pension fund Sächsische Ärzteversorgung, and MQ Real Estate own timpla. The Renggli subsidiary operates in Germany under the timpla by Renggli brand.
The new timber module plant has a production area of 20,000 square metres, allowing for the production of around 2,000 wooden modules every year. According to Renggli, this makes it Germany's largest timber module plant.
Even before the official opening, timpla received two important orders, writes Renggli. Firstly, Wohnungsgenossenschaft Eberswalde 1893 eG commissioned the company to build four entrance pavilions using timber element construction. Secondly, the district of Barnim ordered two modular timber buildings from timpla.
