Nepple helps Auto AG Group to achieve sales record

Rothenburg - The acquisition of Garage Nepple AG allowed the Auto AG Group to post record sales of 185 million Swiss francs in 2024. However, costs associated with the transaction meant that the net profit of the transport and commercial vehicle specialists actually came in below the previous year’s value.

The Auto AG Group posted record sales in financial year 2024 of 185 million Swiss francs. In comparison with the previous year, this represents sales growth of +40 percent, according to a press release issued by business group specializing in transport services and commercial vehicles based in Rothenburg in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. The backdrop to this improved performance is the acquisition of Garage Nepple AG, which was completed during the reporting year. This expanded the Auto AG Group’s network by four locations, three of which are situated in the Basel Area. The press release cites record-high passenger numbers on the bus routes operated by the company as another growth driver.

«Our industry is changing faster than ever – and we are not merely a part of this change, we are actively driving it», comments Marc Ziegler, CEO of the Auto AG Group, in the press release. «2024 has shown that we can grow without sacrificing agility». In future, the Group intends to continue investing in climate-friendly mobility solutions and the digital transformation.

In the reporting year, the Auto AG Group’s operating result at the level of EBITDA totaled 11.56 million Swiss francs. In the previous year, the equivalent value amounted to 11.45 million Swiss francs. At 4.00 million Swiss francs, however, net profit was actually around 0.87 million Swiss francs down on 2023. In this regard, restructuring costs associated with the newly acquired Garage Nepple AG had a negative impact.

The Auto AG Group specializes in the transport of people and products in both the private and public sector. To this end, the Group operates public bus routes and provides both passenger and school transport services.
