Lucerne tourism regions launch sustainable travel campaign
Schüpfheim - UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch and Lucerne Tourism are seeking to motivate guests staying in the region to use public transport to arrive and depart. They have now launched a corresponding campaign optimized by the use of Artificial Intelligence
UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch (UBE) and Lucerne Tourism are attempting to motivate visitors staying in the region to use public transport to arrive and depart instead of their cars, as UBE writes in a press release. To this end, in cooperation with the Swiss Parks Network, Destination Nature and the Alliance SwissPass, the UBE is offering a reward: anyone who books a stay of at least three nights in one of the 30 participating accommodation options in Entlebuch between August 1 and October 31 will have their journeys there and back on public transport financed from their Swiss place of residence financed.
In order to spread the offer as widely as possible and in the most targeted manner, UBE has launched a corresponding campaign on social media, for which it is working with Entelbucher Medienhaus. The company uses Artificial Intelligence to optimize the campaign for use on Google, Facebook and Instagram on a daily basis. In this way, the advertising budget is spent precisely where the target group is currently best represented.
«We are in the fortunate position of having a highly digital and modern media company», comments Sandro Bucher, overall project manager and head of Tourism & Mobility at UBE, in the press release. «Entlebucher Medienhaus in Schüpfheim has an innovative system with proprietary AI software to centrally display travel information for all three Lucerne tourism regions across various channels».
