Komax gains stake in China’s E-Plus
Dierikon/Changchun - The Komax Group from Switzerland has acquired a share in the Chinese technology company E-Plus. Komax intends for this purchase to build on its position in the digital smart factory sector in China.
Komax, a manufacturer of cable processing machines based in the canton of Lucerne, is developing its market position in China. According to a press release, the company has acquired a 5 percent capital share in Changchun E-Plus Technology Co., Ltd. (E-Plus), which is located in Changchun, China. It was founded in north-eastern China in 2015 and employs 200 staff, above all in the area of software development. E-Plus operates a manufacturing execution system (MES) used for the production of cable harnesses.
Additionally, the Chinese company’s portfolio also comprises digital assembly boards for moving cable harnesses plus more smart factory solutions. Komax anticipates that the collaboration that has now begun will strengthen its strategic position in China. To this end, the company from Dierikon in the canton of Lucerne also acquired Hosver last year, a Chinese manufacturer of high-voltage cable processing machines.
