Impact Acoustic launches Noren circular curtain

Lucerne - Impact Acoustic has launched a new curtain system on the market. Noren is characterized by impressive acoustic properties. The system is made from recycled materials to enhance its circular economy credentials and comes with a digital product passport.

The Lucerne-based company Impact Acoustic has, according to a press release, launched a new acoustic curtain system on the market. Noren, as the new product system is named, is characterized by a five-layer design complete with sound absorption of -18 decibels. As is the case with previous products in the Archisonic series from Impact Acoustic, the new curtain solution is made from recycled materials such as PET bottles and cotton fibers. The fabrics come with a digital product passport that ensures production traceability. The product passport is provided by the Zurich-based start-up World of Pi and uses NFC reading software.

Noren is available in 36 different colorways and suitable for rooms with ceiling heights in excess of 2.70 meters. The system can be used primarily as a room-in-room separation solution.

In order to be reused as part of the circular economy, Impact Acoustic guarantees a payment of 10 percent of the original purchase price for take-back after the first life cycle. «Noren is about more than merely acoustics - we create a better future with every single installation», as Jeffrey Ibañez, co-founder and Chief Design Officer at Impact Acoustic, comments in the press release. «As the first acoustic curtain with a digital product passport, Noren offers full transparency in terms of the materials used, product data and the entire life cycle», he adds.

Impact Acoustic has been named as one of the five finalists of the Prix SVC Central Switzerland, with the winner set to be announced by Swiss Venture Club (SVC) on May 22 at the Lucerne Culture and Congress Center.
