EY honors Swiss executives

Zurich - The professional services firm EY has awarded its Entrepreneur Of The Year prize in four categories for the 27th time. The winning executives came from APTISSEN, Pini Group, Galliker and ANYbotics.

On October 4, EY presented its Entrepreneur Of The Year award for the 27th time. The prizes across four categories were won by Silvia Scherer from APTISSEN SA, Andrea Galli from the Pini Group SA, Esther Studer, Peter Galliker and Rolf Galliker from Galliker Transport AG and Péter Fankhauser from ANYbotics AG. The awards were handed out during a gala evening hosted by the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (KKL), further details of which can be found in a press release issued by EY.

APTISSEN SA is based in the canton of Geneva. It emerged victorious in the category of «Industry, High-Tech & Life Sciences» for its injectable gel Synolis. «Silvia Scherer is a star entrepreneur who has shown enormous innovative spirit to successfully position her company in a short space of time», as the press release states, citing the jury’s evaluation in the process. The Pini Group, which hails from the canton of Graubünden, impressed with its global network of engineering offices for complex technical projects in the «Services & Commerce» category. As the jury explains: «The decentralized positioning of his company has allowed Andrea Galli to bring Swiss quality to the international stage in an innovative fashion.»

Based in the canton of Lucerne, Galliker Transport AG claimed victory in the «Family Business» category. The entrepreneurial family’s «exceptional capacity for innovation», which goes «way beyond the classic transport business in addition to offering a credible approach to the issue of sustainability» left a particularly keen impression on the jury.

ANYbotics AG from the canton of Zurich won the award in the «Emerging Entrepreneur» category. Péter Fankhauser has successfully established his business in a market «where major competitors must be outdone», as the jury states.
