CPH Group to acquire LOG Pharma

Root/Ashdot Ya’acov Ichud/Tököl - The CPH Group in the canton of Lucerne is acquiring LOG Pharma with its production sites in Hungary and Israel. The pharmaceutical packaging specialist will help the Group gain market access to Eastern Europe. LOG Pharma will be integrated into Perlen Packaging, CPH’s Packaging division.

The CPH Group is set to acquire LOG Pharma based in Ashdot Ya’acov Ichud in Israel. The company specialising in packaging for solid and liquid pharmaceutical and medicinal products has a second production site in Hungary. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025, as CPH reported in a press release. The new company will be integrated into CPH’s Packaging division, Perlen Packaging. The parties have agreed not to divulge the purchase price.

«With the production site in Hungary, we are also gaining market access to Eastern Europe, a region that is growing steadily in importance for our customers in their pharma blister packaging production,» said Marc Haller, Head of Packaging at the CPH Group. «The manufacturing location will enable us to be even prompter and faster in responding to and meeting our customers’ needs.» The acquisition of LOG Pharma adds the pharmaceutical packagings of bottles and containers to the Perlen Packaging product range.

After careful consideration of risk from the political situation in Israel, the Board of Directors decided to proceed with the acquisition. The opportunities for the further development of Perlen Packaging in line with the strategy justify the risk. «With the purchase of LOG Pharma, we are consistently further pursuing the expansion strategy of the Packaging Division,» commented Group CEO Dr. Peter Schildknecht. «The integration of LOG Pharma with our Packaging Division should also enable us to utilize market synergies with our existing packaging business.»
