Beaver offers flood protection geared towards industrial clients

Grosswangen - Beaver has developed a service portfolio specifically tailored to industrial clients. The company offers risk assessments and protection concepts with the aim of preventing damage and operational downtime as a result of flooding and heavy rain.

Beaver Schutzsysteme AG from Grosswangen in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, has recorded significantly increased demand from industrial clients since the severe storms seen in 2024, which included flooding in the wake of persistently heavy rainfall. Sealed surfaces and a 7 percent increase in humidity per 1 degree Celsius higher air temperatures have become a pervasive business risk, as the company writes in a press release.

According to the information, Beaver has therefore created a service portfolio specifically geared towards industrial clients. This includes the orange protective hose dam, which is «by far the best-selling mobile, location-independent storm and flood protection system.» Because, as COB and co-owner Christian Wolff explains, the «damage caused by floods and heavy rain are no longer exceptional events, but rather a new framework condition that must be implemented in risk analysis and catalogs of measures for corporate resilience».

The company's flood analyses are created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. These are based on dynamic models and do not solely take topographical aspects into account. This approach allows critical zones to be identified and process-compatible solutions with plant safety to be developed. These are compliant with legal frameworks and, in addition to direct flood protection, also address issues such as water intrusion through sewer and pumping systems, as well as energy self-sufficiency and the risks of water pollution.

The long-standing client base of the company, which has around 50 sales partners in 25 countries, has primarily been comprised of customers operating in the critical infrastructure sectors of water, wastewater, energy, warehouse logistics and security. According to the company, it has recently experienced strong demand from the private sector as well.

Beaver is part of the SWISS Pavilion at the 21st Dubai International Human Aid and Development Conference & Exhibition, which is set to take place April 29 – May 1 in Dubai.
