Apostroph Group becomes part of TransPerfect

Lucerne/Zurich - TransPerfect has integrated the Apostroph Group into its business group in order to serve customers right across Europe. Together, the aim is to enhance the service quality offered by the languages service provider on the basis of a larger network.

The Apostroph Group, a Lucerne-based language service provider serving the German-speaking DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region, is now a part of TransPerfect, the global provider of language and technology solutions. According to a press release, the companies hope that the merger will provide them with «access to an even broader range of resources, technologies and industry expertise». This will reportedly serve to expand the range of services offered, in addition to opening up new opportunities for existing customers across the DACH region.

Moreover, the takeover is now expected to bring to an end a rivalry that has lasted more than 20 years: «After competing with Apostroph for more than two decades, we know only too well that they provide excellent work and are highly respected by their customers», as Phil Shawe, President and CEO of TransPerfect, comments in the press release.

TransPerfect’s global reach and extensive network will offer new ways for Apostroph to improve the quality of its customer service. «As the leading provider within the language services industry, TransPerfect is known for outstanding customer service and technological innovation», explains Philipp Meier, Group CEO of the Apostroph Group.

As the company writes in the press release, the Apostroph Group will continue to be operated as an independent company within the TransPerfect Group. Moreover, the management team is to be retained and Apostroph will continue to operate its five Swiss locations, from which it serves customers from small businesses, international corporations, medium-sized enterprises as well as non-governmental organizations, offices and authorities.
