ALSO concludes acquisitions in Eastern Europe

Emmen - ALSO Holding AG has completed the acquisition of SWS and Entec in Czechia and SWS International in Slovakia. This trio of Eastern European companies will allow the Lucerne-based technology provider to gain a foothold across the region as a whole.

ALSO has concluded three acquisitions in Eastern Europe. Following regulatory approval, ownership of SWS a.s. and Entec, both of which are based in Czechia, in addition to SWS International from Slovakia, will be transferred to the ALSO Group, a technology provider based in Emmen in the canton of Lucerne, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by ALSO Holding AG. SWS a.s. und SWS International supply IT ecosystems, while Entec specializes in end-to-end solutions for IT infrastructure, in addition to offering distribution and value-added services.

«These acquisitions position us as a leader in this very attractive region», comments Wolfgang Krainz, CEO of ALSO Holding AG, in the press release. «By combining the extensive SMB customer base of SWS, the solutions know-how of Entec, and the platforms of the ALSO Group, we are now able to offer both resellers and vendors full access to our comprehensive ecosystem», he adds.

With its newly acquired companies, ALSO will be in a position to expand its own activities in Czechia and Slovakia to include a network of 3,800 resellers and products from various well-known manufacturers. The Lucerne-based company is also enhancing its expertise in solutions and services for infrastructure, data centers and networks. The regional market that the ALSO Group will now be able to tap into is valued in the press release at around 3 billion euros.
