Aldo Lamberti takes over management of Technopark Luzern
Root - Aldo Lamberti will take on the new role of director at Switzerland’s Technopark Luzern on April 1. The expert in artificial intelligence with entrepreneurial experience plans to develop it further into a central location for innovation with national and international appeal.
After four years, Franco Chicherio is passing on his office as the director of the Technopark Luzern to Aldo Lamberti. The outgoing director, Chicherio, plans to focus more on his own company. A press release from the Technopark recognizes his achievements: «Franco has sustainably shaped the region’s startup ecosystem with the Technopark and, with the successful development of the VCI – Venture Club Innerschweiz, has created a bridge to link startups with investors», says Patrick Wyss, president of the board of Technopark Luzern.
The new director, Aldo Lamberti, will take over on April 1, 2025. According to the information provided, he was selected from 150 applicants via a multistage process. Reportedly, both his personality and career were impressive. The economist with a degree from the University of St.Gallen founded a startup focusing on artificial intelligence (AI). According to the announcement, this means that he brings the ideal conditions «to ignite the next step of the Technopark’s further development.»
Lamberti states that as a founder he has personally experienced «how vital a strong network, access to capital, and targeted coaching are to the success of a startup. I will bring this knowledge to the Technopark Luzern.»
He states that his future activities will focus on expanding the TLP network and artificial intelligence. Lamberti also believes that the Technopark Luzern should become a central point of contact for AI innovations in Switzerland: «We will support targeted programs and events to bring startups together with the right partners, transfer knowledge, and continue to establish the location of Lucerne as an AI hotspot.»
Patrick Wyss welcomes the new director. «In Aldo Lamberti, we have gained a proven AI expert with valuable entrepreneurial experience,» says the TPL President. «With him, we want to further develop Technopark Lucerne into a central location for innovation with national and international appeal.»
