Much more than just trains: SBB is not only the largest Swiss transportation company. It is also one of the largest real estate and service providers in Switzerland and owns high-quality properties in attractive locations. SBB Real Estate is developing railroad stations and adjoining areas into versatile service centers and urban districts - a sustainable development with a great deal of responsibility for the Switzerland of the future.
SBB is responsible for the development of the railroad and the surrounding areas. Development is working on around 190 projects throughout Switzerland that will become urban centers of public transport for working, living and shopping. It focuses on affordable housing construction. The Development division is responsible for project management and ensures that the development potential is exploited in a socially, economically and ecologically optimized manner.
