About the HUG family

HUG AG employs around 440 people at its Malters and Willisau sites. HUG was founded as a bakery in Lucerne in 1877 and is still family-owned today in the fifth generation. «We bake your daily moments of pleasure with heart», say Anna Hug and Marianne Wüthrich Gross, who co-manage the company according to three principles: Cordial, Entrepreneurial and Conscientious - in other words, HUG. With the four brands HUG, Wernli, DAR-VIDA and HUG Food Service, the company offers a wide range of products: Typical Swiss Guezli from HUG such as Willisauer Ringli, biscuit specialties from Wernli such as Choco Petit Beurre and DAR-VIDA crackers. In addition to retail products, HUG also offers an extensive range of high-quality baked goods for the food service industry, such as HUG Tartelettes. All four brands stand for the values of indulgence, naturalness and origin.
