Technopark Luzern draws positive conclusion for 2024
Root - Technopark Luzern has drawn a positive conclusion for 2024 at its annual general meeting and in the Annual Report 2024. Steady growth, a stable financial position and new partnerships all helped to strengthen Lucerne as an innovation location in the previous year.
At its 22nd annual general meeting held on April 16 as well as in the recently published Annual Report 2024, Technopark Luzern reviewed its activities and performance over the previous year. According to a press release, the service agreement with the federal and cantonal governments was extended until 2027. This should facilitate the continued support for start-ups and scale-ups in Lucerne over the years to come. In addition, Technopark Luzern has continued to grow with an increasing number of supported business concepts and newly created jobs, and boasts a solid financial position. Through the integration of the «zukunft-fertig-los» foundation, the Technopark aims to support and accompany founders even more effectively in the future.
Technopark Luzern has also expanded its network of international partners. For example, a new Memorandum of Understanding was signed with South Korean innovation stakeholders, which should help to strengthen the international profile of Lucerne. Moreover, Lucerne has been able to further establish itself as a place of innovation with accelerator programs, panels and new event formats.
A core focus of the Technopark’s activities continued to be on the promotion of young talent. More than 200 schoolchildren and students were supported through programs such as Young Enterprise Switzerland, Wirtschaftsbildung.ch, and the Smart-Up program operated by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
«Last year was characterized by dynamic networking and the sustainable further development of our ecosystem», comments Patrick Wyss, President of Technopark Luzern, in the Annual Report. «As President, I look back with pride on a period in which Technopark Luzern has not only consolidated its role as a driving force of innovation in Central Switzerland, but also set new standards through strategic partnerships and exceptional events», he concludes.
